5 years old girl, loses life to heavy storm in Benin City.

 It was a very tragic situation in some parts of Edo State, as a never before seen storm occurred on Tuesday 15th July.

 Speaking with news men, an anonymous eyewitness likened the storm to that of an hurricane. The Eye witness said that the storm pulled off the roof of his house, and flung it to the mango tree where his family was under. Luckily for him, non of them was hurt.

In a different experience, one Mr Ishaka, who resides along Tv road in Benin City, gave his bitter experience to news crew. In his statement, Mr Ishaka said his 5 years old daughter was out side that evening doing her home work, when the storm started.

He said the diseased daughter, while trying to run inside the house, lost her book to the wind. In an attempt to go pick up the book, the heavy storm pulled off the roof of his building, which fell on the little girl.

According to Mr Ishaka, nobody noticed the girl was under the roof which fell, till about one hour later. By the time the little girl was rescued, she was already lifeless.

A Lot of lives and properties were said to have been lost from the Tuesday evening storm in Edo state, and victims are still in the process of recovering from the damages.
