Ogun State Governor, Shuts Down Olabisi Onabanjo University, Due To Students Protest.

Due to the unending protest by students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, about their school fees, Governor Ibikunle Amosun has ordered the closure of the institution (OOU) in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

According to a statement released by Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa, Secretary to State Government of the State, the government said it had no "option than to order the immediate closure of all the campuses of Olabisi Onabanjo University to protect the students and other residents of the state and their property."

The Governor has said that since all measures to come to term with the students have proved abortive, it is best for the school to be closed down so as to avoid the disruption of peace enjoyed by the citizens of the state.
