According to reports from AIT correspondent, victims of the bomb blast that occurred today at a plaza in Abuja, wuse Phase two, have been taken to the Maitama hospital.
An eye witness at the hospital said about 12 people have been admitted in the hospital, some have been disposed at the mortuary, while others haven't been identified.
Speaking with news men was a young girl who lost 3 of her siblings to this very sad incident. While narrating her story in tears, the girl who is a groundnut seller said she was selling groundnut at the gate of the plaza with three of her siblings, then a man came and bought all her groundnut. So she told her siblings she was going home, and that they should come home when they are done selling theirs.
She said as she was walking along the garden not up to 5mins later, she heard a very loud sound. Only to find out it was a bomb blast, and her siblings were caught in it. * pathetic *
Another eye witness said the blast Occurred about quarter to 4pm, about the time for Muslim prayers. The police has said the incident is still under preliminary investigations.
This is really sad.
