After a meeting which held in Abuja on Thursday between Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, The Chairman Senate Committee on health, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Dr Doyin Okupe, Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, and a host of others, Dr Uduaghan has told press men in a briefing that the on going Doctors strike will be over soon. He also admitted that despite there are some set backs in the health sector, going on strike is not the best way to solve it because a lot of lives could be lost during the process.
The Government also confirmed that after the Thursday meeting, the strike might just be called off on monday.
The Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, also disclosed that at the end of the 10 hours meeting, a Memorandum of understanding was signed between two parties.
