INEC Postpones General Elections To March, And April.

After several hours of meeting yesterday, the chairman of INEC Prof. Atahhiru Jega, had declared the postponement of the general elections to March 28th, and April 11th.

The decision was made after briefings with various stakeholders notably political parties, security agencies, civil society and the media. He said 26 out of the 28 registered parties were at the meeting. And the postponement was as a result of security issues, and distribution of PVCs.
